IMEI NUMBER INFORMATION

To check the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number type *#06# is general standby screen of mobile.This is 15 digit number associated with evry mobile which uniquely identifies hardware of a mobile. So each mobile has a uniqe 15 digit IMIE like ISBN in books and this no. can be used in many cases like if your mobile is stolen. If u smuggle a mobile from japan to US then it’ll show japanese IMEI and will be identified soon and all networks will block that phonme when used in us.

TAC = Type approval code   FAC = Final assembly code   SNR = Serial number SP = Spare

Wikipedia informs “The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is a number unique to every GSM and UMTS mobile phone. It is usually found printed on the phone underneath the battery and can also be found by dialing the sequence *#06# into the phone.”
